Who's up for a 50 mile hike?

I spoke to several people at the district Pow Wow and they expressed interest in doing a 50 mile hike. I would be willing to join in and help plan and conduct such a hike. We would have to work out the logistics together as a group. Some commanders might not have the time or the inclination to hike the whole 50 miles. If that is the case we could set up a relay and swap commanders as we go along to maintain the proper leader/boy ratios.

This hike will not happen if you just sit at home and think about it.

Need responses to make it happen

I do not plan to lay out all the details for a 50 mile hike by myself. Where we should go, when is a good time for everyone interested and so forth are questions that need to be answered and discussed as a group. This is suppose to be a learning experience as well as a great adventure for all those interested. This should be your hike not mine.

Where should we go? If everyone who is interested is from Maine it doesn't make sense for me to plan a hike in Vermont. In the future we can plan a hike out west in Colorado perhaps or maybe the Grand Canyon, but we first need to get our communication skills down and do some hiking locally.

If your interested please respond and give me an idea on where you want to go hiking for 50 miles.
